Sabre is a training organisation that understands there are different factors that can prevent people achieving their goals and employment within this area. We specialise in specific training to overcome these barriers.
Sabre has worked in partnership with Coalfields Regeneration Trust and Job Centre Plus to deliver Sportswork, a new employability skills training programme for young jobseekers. The 8 week programme has been hailed as a major success. We have worked with a number of sports institutions.
The programme combines interview skills and writing CV's with the chance to try a whole range of sports, and arts.
Sabre has also assisted in delivering assessments and competency based interviews for the Fife Youth Job Contract in partnership with Fife Council and Opportunities Fife. Sabre assesses the candidates in literacy, numeracy, mechanical skills and team building activities.
The Fife Youth Job Contract (FYJC) is the Fife Council response to high levels of unemployment within the 16-24 year old age group. The contract is set up to deliver support to help this group gain and sustain employment. The contract will create additional opportunities for our young people, particularly those who otherwise would not achieve a positive destination.
