BRAG is pleased to announce an upcoming community engagement initiative in partnership with Fife Climate Forest. On Sunday, 16 February, volunteers and residents are invited to join a dedicated session focused on maintaining the existing orchard in Ballingry and contributing to its long-term sustainability.

Participants will have the opportunity to plant new fruit trees as well as prune and maintain existing trees which will help enhance the green footprint of the local area. The session is open to individuals of all skill levels, including those with no previous experience in tree planting or pruning.

Support will be provided throughout the event by Dougie, BRAG’s Community Gardener, who will offer hands-on guidance. All necessary tools and equipment will be supplied by BRAG. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

This initiative forms part of BRAG’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community development, supporting local biodiversity while encouraging residents to take an active role in caring for shared green spaces.

Community members interested in participating on 16 February are invited to register their attendance by emailing [email protected].
