BRAG’s Pantry staff and volunteers have come together to launch a special community raffle in support of the Lochore Miners Welfare Social Club—fondly known locally as the Tute.
The Lochore Miners Welfare Social Club was gifted to the people of Benarty in 1936, and for nearly a century it has served as a central hub for community gatherings, events, and social support. With the building approaching its 100-year milestone, essential roof repairs are now required to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and available for future generations. As expected, the community has rallied to help safeguard this much‑loved local asset.
In a show of solidarity, the Pantry team has organised a fundraising raffle, with all proceeds going directly towards the building’s repair fund. The raffle prize is a generously filled hamper that includes household items, gift vouchers from Tom Courts and Shimla Palace, a selection of beer, a bottle of Smirnoff, and a bear from Highland in Style.
Raffle tickets are available from the BRAG reception (Monday to Friday, 9am–4:30pm), the Pantry, or directly from the Tute. The draw will take place on Friday, 6 March, and the winner will be announced on Facebook.
