Fife-ETC is a collaborative effort involving various third sector partners aimed at delivering comprehensive employment support services throughout the region of Fife. Spearheaded by BRAG, the consortium comprises multiple partners implementing diverse interventions across different sites within Fife.
Central to the Consortium's approach is the deployment of an Inclusion Officer model, which ensures clients have access to a spectrum of specialized support services, encompassing housing advice, mental health and emotional resilience, substance abuse assistance, and volunteering opportunities. The primary employability services are administered by a team of specialists with contributions from BRAG and Kingdom Works.
The primary objectives of Fife-ETC include expanding the reach of employability services through community-based engagement, prioritizing support in areas of greatest need and among specific target groups, mitigating long-term unemployment, and addressing identified barriers to employment.
One distinguishing feature of the Consortium is its comprehensive, Fife-wide "wrap-around" approach to assisting individuals in re-entering the workforce. This means that clients have access to multiple services simultaneously, facilitated by a "no wrong door policy," ensuring that clients are directed to the appropriate service based on their needs, regardless of where they initially seek assistance.
Fife-ETC is committed to a client-centric approach characterized by collaboration and empowerment, emphasizing working with clients rather than merely providing services to them. The Consortium is actively exploring methods to embed this ethos into its service delivery framework.
