THE PAST

BRAG Enterprises launched Together Levenmouth (as Levenmouth Together) in April 2019 to develop a community led approach to economic development within this poverty affected area funded by Fife Council’s Economic Development Fund & the Town Centre Regeneration Fund. Together Levenmouth has been created by Brag Enterprises as a vehicle to support a range of activities that inspire the local community and businesses, to deliver a range of events that enhance opportunities for all.
BRAG’s own experience had shown that sustainable community regeneration could only happen when it was fully inclusive and it inspired the entire community to become more enterprising, where they themselves have a desire to overcome the effects of poverty. In Levenmouth we are currently working with the community to understand their needs and then, together, to identify tangible solutions whilst aligning with existing economic strategies and plans already agreed.

NOW

Almost three years later and the project has had a rebrand and is now named Together Levenmouth. The team continue to create events such as Leven Artisan Market which is held on the second Saturday of every month in the town’s South street/Viewforth car park KY8 4NU from 10am until 3pm and other events like our Halloween Drive in Movie – Scarefest.

The new Levenmouth Community Lottery launched in July 2021. Over twenty local retailers signed up to support this and a new website was launched for Together Levenmouth which you can find here.

The lottery will raise funds for the community chest allowing grant funding to community groups and organisations to apply for. Live draws will take place at a chosen supporting retailer’s shop or community location every Friday at 3PM. You can watch the live draw on the community lottery facebook page here.

THE HUB

Another exciting move came from the purchase of an empty High Street building formerly WH Smith and Happit where we have created a visitor centre with 2 escape rooms and 2 crazy golf courses, a cafe for visitors, a party room for party bookings, a gift shop as well as community exhibition and pop up business space. The Hub was opened on 2nd April by well known Levenmouth Artist and Sculptor David Mach who said: “They used to call this place The Riviera of Scotland, I think we should call it that again.”

Watch our opening below:

Bookings for the crazy golf and escape rooms can be made via the website.

The hub will also be hosting senior clubs, aimed at care home residents who have become socially isolated as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
