The Together Levenmouth Hub’s Pay It Forward Scheme is continuing to make a positive difference to local people and organisations, with donations now benefiting several community groups across the area.
Launched in 2025 within the Hub’s café, the scheme was designed to ensure that everyone can enjoy a warm drink, regardless of their circumstances. The initiative guarantees that there are always 10 free hot drinks available, while customers also have the opportunity to support others by purchasing an extra tea or coffee and adding it to the Pay It Forward board.
Anyone wishing to access the scheme can simply ask for a “Hub Special” when ordering a hot drink. This discreet approach ensures that support is available in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
At the end of each month, the board is reset to 10 complimentary hot drinks. Any remaining donated drinks are converted into cash, which is then donated to small local charities and community organisations.
Since its introduction, the Pay It Forward Scheme has generated donations totalling £135.30, which has been shared between Autism Rocks and The Buckhind Players, helping both organisations continue their valuable work within the community.
Over the coming months, BRAG will be directing any surplus funds from the scheme to Glenrothes Strollers 2018s, who are currently fundraising to purchase team jackets for their young players. The jackets will help keep the children warm and comfortable during winter training sessions and matches.
The continued success of the Pay It Forward Scheme demonstrates the generosity of Hub customers and highlights the positive impact that small acts of kindness can have on individuals and community groups across Levenmouth.
