BRAG’s Employability Team recently delivered a dedicated interview skills workshop for young people taking part in the Bright Futures Programme, helping participants build confidence and develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s job market.
Bright Futures is a partnership programme delivered by BRAG & Partners, which consists of BRAG, CARF, Clued Up, Frontline Fife and FVA. The programme supports young people aged 16 to 24 who are seeking employment.
The workshop was facilitated by Lynne, a BRAG Keyworker, and Craig, BRAG’s Job Broker. Seven participants attended the session, which focused on preparing for interviews and understanding what employers are looking for during the recruitment process.
Throughout the workshop, attendees explored interview expectations, effective preparation techniques and common interview questions. The group also discussed how to anticipate the types of questions employers may ask, how to structure strong responses and the importance of preparing thoughtful questions to ask interviewers.
The session received positive feedback from attendees. Julie from Fife Council’s Opportunities Fife team attended the workshop and praised the support being provided, commenting:
“Very informative, also what a wonderful job you guys are doing helping people.”
By providing practical and supportive learning opportunities such as this workshop, the Bright Futures partnership continues to equip young people with the knowledge, confidence and employability skills needed to move closer to sustainable employment.
