Joe was also heavily involved in the creation of BRAG and was the secretary of the organisation since it was created. Joe was a Councillor (SNP), he also serves on various committees including the Benarty Environment Group.
He also sits on the Board of: Fife Day Care Services and previously was on the Board of Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF).
As a founding member Joe was awarded the honorary President title at the 2020-21 AGM
