BRAG’s Pantry welcomed members of the local community on Wednesday afternoon for a special Afternoon Tea fundraiser in support of Breast Cancer Now, raising an impressive £277 for the charity.
The event brought people together for an afternoon of friendship and community spirit, while also helping to raise awareness of the vital work carried out by Breast Cancer Now.
Guests enjoyed a delicious menu featuring homemade broccoli and cheddar soup, square sausage rolls as well as cheese rolls for vegetarian attendees. However, the highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly the wonderful selection of sweet treats, which were all handmade by Lorraine, BRAG’s Pantry Development Worker, and one of the Pantry’s dedicated volunteers, Marg Johnston. Local business The Bakers Apprentice generously donated the cake decorations used to create the impressive display.
Entertainment was provided by Lorraine, who hosted a lively game of Boom Box Bingo after lunch. The fun continued with a raffle featuring a variety of prizes, including wine, snacks, and a beautiful purple teddy bear kindly donated by Highland in Style.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, donated prizes and supported the event, a total of £277 was raised for Breast Cancer Now.
BRAG’s Pantry would like to extend its sincere thanks to all those who contributed to making the fundraiser such a success and to everyone who came along to support this worthy cause.
