Last month marked an exciting milestone for BRAG and the wider Levenmouth community, as local community champion Peter Wright officially opened our new space, Pop Down @ the Hub, located within the Together Levenmouth Hub.
Peter, who has dedicated many years to volunteering in the local area, shared his passion for community action and environmental responsibility during the opening. In particular, he highlighted his strong commitment to tackling litter.
Building on this momentum, BRAG is proud to support Fife’s Climate Festival with a community-led initiative aimed at protecting and enhancing our local environment. On Wednesday, 24 June, we will be hosting a community litter-picking event at Leven Beach, bringing together volunteers to help keep this local space clean and welcoming for all.
The event will include a friendly competition. At the end of the session, collected litter will be weighed, and the participant with the heaviest bag will be recognised as the winner. For safety and fairness, only structurally sound bags will be included in the final weigh-in.
Following the clean-up, participants will be invited to enjoy a shared lunch—an opportunity to connect, reflect on the day’s achievements, and strengthen community ties.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for people to engage with their local environment, build meaningful connections, and make a positive impact in Levenmouth.
