Employability Support has been at the heart of BRAG Enterprises since we were established in 1988 and as we approach the first ever Scottish Employability Day, we would like to share some information on what support is available in Fife, how you can be referred and what BRAG can do to help you or a family member.
Support looks different for everyone depending on the individual and their circumstances, but it is available to those currently not in work, anyone who is under-employed or facing barriers to employment. BRAG is as part of Fife – ETC, a consortium that includes multiple partners across different sites within Fife and we have two programmes that run under the Scottish Governments framework, No One Left Behind.
Bright Futures is for young people aged between 16 and 24 and Spring Forward is for anyone who is 25+.
Within Fife, there are over 70 employability services with some providers specialising in supporting people with physical disabilities, mental health conditions, and other specific needs. BRAG’s Employability Keyworkers cover the whole of Fife and there are various routes into our employability services, if you are on Universal Credit, your work coach can send a referral in on your behalf, you can call us on 01592 860296 or email us on [email protected].
Once you are paired with an Employability Keyworker, they will assess the client’s needs and create a bespoke support plan to help them progress towards employment. The support plan can include a variety of services such as confidence & employability skills, CV development, digital skills, work experience, interview preparation and travel training.
BRAG's dedicated Job Broker provides tailored support to clients with job applications. Through strong partnerships and longstanding relationships with local employers, the Job Broker can connect clients with a wide range of employment opportunities in the Fife area.
Support continues when a client is placed into employment, as BRAG recognises that ongoing in-work assistance can be essential. This end-to-end approach enables barriers to be addressed, reduced and helps clients maintain long-term employment.
