More than 100 community members and invited guests gathered on Friday afternoon to celebrate the official opening of a new community space within the innovative Together Levenmouth Hub.
The launch was led by local Community Champion Peter Wright, who was invited to cut the BRAG‑coloured purple ribbon following a public vote. During his address, Peter spoke passionately about the value of volunteering, the importance of community pride, and the small everyday actions that help keep local areas welcoming—encouraging everyone to use bins and help tackle litter when they see it.
The newly opened Pop Down @ The Hub space has been made possible through vital funding from the Levenmouth Reconnected Fund and the Garfield Weston Foundation, alongside loan funding from the Bank of Scotland. Designed with flexibility in mind, the space offers a modern and welcoming environment that can be adapted to suit a wide range of community activities and business uses.
With its own dedicated entrance, the space supports evening and weekend access, making it even more accessible for local groups and organisations. Facilities include a large event space, meeting rooms, a quiet room, and a specialist sensory room. The area is fully accessible, with step‑free access available directly from Forth Street car park or via the High Street using a newly installed lift.
Guests enjoyed refreshments provided by the Hub Café, with inclusive charcuterie boards catering to a range of dietary requirements. The catering proved extremely popular, giving attendees a first‑hand experience of the high‑quality food available for future events, with several guests already expressing interest in hiring the space.
The opening marks an important milestone for Together Levenmouth Hub, reinforcing its role as a vibrant, inclusive space designed to support connection, opportunity, and community growth across Levenmouth.
